ITINERARY
Day 1: Iquitos – Nauta – Entry into Pacaya Samiria
DAY 1
Arrival in Iquitos or pickup from your hotel. Then, ground transfer to Nauta, where you’ll receive a brief introduction to local history and the importance of the Amazon.
Next, board the boat and begin your journey down the Marañón River, one of the Amazon’s main tributaries. During the trip, you’ll be able to observe jungle landscapes and, with luck, pink and gray dolphins.
Later, entry into the Pacaya Samiria National Reserve (SERNANP checkpoint). Lunch on board and arrival at the camp. In the afternoon, exploration of the area. Finally, dinner and a night walk to observe insects, amphibians, and other species.
Day 2: Yanayacu – Amazonian Flora and Fauna
DAY 2
Very early in the morning, we’ll set out to watch the Amazonian sunrise and observe exotic birds in their natural habitat. Then, breakfast at the camp.
Afterward, we’ll navigate the inland rivers in search of wildlife: monkeys, birds, and reptiles. You’ll also have the chance to take a swim in the river in safe areas.
Later, lunch and a botanical walk to learn about medicinal plants and native trees. In the evening, dinner and Amazonian tales of local myths and legends.
Day 3: Deep Jungle – Adventure and Exploration
DAY 3
Breakfast and transfer to a more remote camp. Then, a boat ride down the Yanayacu River in a traditional canoe.
During the day, traditional piranha fishing and monkey watching in their natural habitat. Later, time to enjoy the jungle surroundings.
Finally, a nighttime canoe excursion to observe caimans and nocturnal wildlife, followed by dinner and rest at the camp.
Day 4: Return to Iquitos

Next, boat ride back to Nauta and ground transfer to Iquitos. End of the experience.
