  • Pick-up in Cusco

We will begin our adventure with a pick-up from your hotel or a pre-arranged meeting point in the city of Cusco.

 

  • Buffet breakfast in the Colca community

After a journey of approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes, we will arrive in the Colca community where we will enjoy a nutritious buffet breakfast. There will also be time for last-minute shopping such as water, snacks, gloves, hats, or sunscreen.

 

  • Visit to the Checacupe Bridges

We will continue our journey to the picturesque town of Checacupe, where we will visit its famous three bridges. We will also see the colonial church and learn about the local culture.

 

  • Arrival at Palccoyo Base Camp

During the trek, we will enjoy beautiful Andean landscapes, snow-capped peaks, multicolored mountains, and llamas and alpacas in their natural habitat.

Upon arrival at base camp, the guide will provide information about the route, safety recommendations, and details about the hike.

 

  • Hike to Palccoyo Rainbow Mountain

We’ll begin a gentle 45-minute hike along trails surrounded by breathtaking Andean landscapes.

During the hike, we’ll visit several natural viewpoints offering stunning views of Palccoyo’s three colorful mountains and spectacular vistas of Nevado Ausangate, the highest mountain in the Cusco region.

 

  • Visit to the Stone Forest

Continue to the famous Palccoyo Stone Forest, a unique geological formation located at over 5,000 meters above sea level.

 

  • Descent and Picnic Lunch

We’ll descend to the parking area where we’ll enjoy a delicious picnic lunch surrounded by nature and the high Andean scenery.

 

  • Return to Cusco

We’ll board our tourist transport to return to the city of Cusco. The tour concludes with transfer to the historic center or another agreed-upon location.
