ITINERARY
🗓 Detailed Itinerary
1. Pickup from your hotel and transfer to the port
We begin the day with pickup from your accommodation in Puno. You will be transferred to the main port to board a tourist boat to the floating islands.
2. Departure to the Uros Islands
We will sail through the calm waters of Lake Titicaca for approximately 30 minutes until we reach the floating islands of the Uros. These islands, made entirely of totora reeds, are inhabited by communities that preserve their ancestral customs.
3. Visit to the floating islands of the Uros
You will learn about their history, way of life, island construction, and traditional boats. You will have the option to take a ride on a totora reed raft (optional and at an additional cost).
4. Departure to Taquile Island
We continue the journey for 1 hour and 30 minutes to Taquile Island, located in the central part of the lake, renowned for its textile tradition and declared an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO.
5. Taquile Hike and Cultural Exploration
Upon arrival, you’ll take a 30- to 40-minute hike to the town center. During the walk, you’ll enjoy panoramic views of the lake. You’ll be greeted by the locals, who will share their dances, music, traditional clothing, and handmade textiles.
6. Typical Lunch at a Local Restaurant
Enjoy a traditional meal based on Andean products such as fresh trout, quinoa, or moraya soup, accompanied by local infusions.
7. Free Time and Transfer to the Dock
