Cusco Itinerary in 7D/6N

D1: Historical City Tour

  • After being picked up at the airport, we will arrange a private transfer to your hotel in Cusco. You will have the morning free to rest and acclimatize to the altitude.
  • In the afternoon, we begin a guided tour of the city’s main attractions:
  • The Cusco Cathedral, a jewel of colonial art and a World Heritage Site.
  • The Qoricancha or Temple of the Sun, an ancient Inca spiritual center.
  • The impressive Sacsayhuamán fortress, a symbol of Inca architecture.
  • The enigmatic Qenqo sanctuary, dedicated to Mother Earth.
  • And the archaeological sites of Puka Pukara and Tambomachay, related to the defense and worship of water.
  • After the tour, we return to the hotel.
  • Free dinner and overnight in Cusco.

D2: Sacred Valley of the Incas

  • We begin the tour of the Sacred Valley of the Incas with a stop at the Mirador de Taray, from where you can enjoy spectacular views of the valley.
  • We continue to the archaeological complex of Pisac, followed by a visit to the artisan market, ideal for purchasing local souvenirs.
  • Next, we enjoy an included buffet lunch in Urubamba.
  • In the afternoon, we explore the imposing fortress of Ollantaytambo, the last Inca stronghold of resistance.
  • Finally, we board the train to Aguas Calientes, where we spend the night in a hotel, ready to visit Machu Picchu at sunrise.

Day 3: Machu Picchu

  • We begin the day with an early departure by bus to the majestic Inca citadel of Machu Picchu.
  • At the main entrance, you will meet your professional guide for a guided tour of approximately 2 hours, visiting the sanctuary’s most emblematic sites.
  • At the end, we return by bus to Aguas Calientes, where you will enjoy an included lunch at a local restaurant.
  • In the afternoon, we board the train back to Ollantaytambo, and from there, we continue by bus to Cusco.
  • Arrival and overnight at a hotel in Cusco.

D4: Humantay Lagoon

  • Early pick-up from your hotel and transfer to Mollepata (approximately 3 hours).
  • Upon arrival, we enjoy breakfast before starting the hike.
  • We hike for approximately 2 hours to the impressive Humantay Lagoon.
  • Afterward, we return to Mollepata for an included lunch.
  • Finally, we return to Cusco in the afternoon.

D5: Rainbow Mountain – Vinicunca

  • Early pick-up from your hotel and travel to Tintinco for approximately 3 hours.
  • 2.5-hour hike to the top of Rainbow Mountain.
  • Free time to enjoy this unique natural phenomenon.
  • Lunch included in Tintinco.
  • Return to Cusco at approximately 5:00 PM.

D6: Maras, Moray, and Chinchero

We begin the tour with hotel pickup and then visit the following sites:
