ITINERARY

🛶 Detailed Itinerary

Tour Start – 3:00 PM | Puerto Maldonado
We’ll pick you up from your accommodation in Puerto Maldonado and head to the main pier, where we’ll board a motorized riverboat. As we head into the Madre de Dios River, we’ll begin to observe the lushness of the rainforest.

Navigation and Wildlife Observation
During the cruise, with a little luck, we may spot birds such as herons, kingfishers, cormorants, and, of course, the charismatic capybaras—the largest rodents in the world—that often come out to the riverbanks in the late afternoon. The naturalist guide will help you identify them and understand their behavior within the Amazonian ecosystem.

Amazon Sunset
We will pause at a strategic point along the river to admire the Amazonian sunset. The golden, reddish, and orange hues reflected on the river create a natural spectacle that captivates photographers and travelers alike.

Return to Puerto Maldonado
As the sun sets, we will return to the city. On the return journey, it is possible to spot some nocturnal species such as caimans and birds beginning their evening activity. Arrival at approximately 7:00 PM.
