ITINERARY
🌿 Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Puerto Maldonado – Pariamanu Native Community – Tribal Camp
- Meet at the meeting point or pick up from your hotel in Puerto Maldonado.
- Boat trip along the Tambopata River to the Pariamanu Native Community. During the trip, we will observe birds, turtles, and perhaps an alligator basking in the sun.
- Arrive at the Pariamanu community. Traditional welcome by members of the ethnic group and explanation of their customs, beliefs, and way of life.
- Traditional lunch with local products (river fish, cassava, plantain).
- Set up camp in a safe area of the primary rainforest, under the guidance of community members.
- Ethnobotanical interpretation walk: you will learn about medicinal plants, sacred trees, and how the natives use the rainforest’s resources.
- Tribal-style country dinner.
- Night walk through the jungle to observe insects, amphibians, bats, and listen to the unique sounds of the tropical forest.
- Overnight: Campsite beneath the Amazon rainforest, with tents, sleeping mats, and mosquito nets.
Day 2: Sunrise in Pariamanu – Cultural activity – Return to Puerto Maldonado
- Sunrise over the river and brief birdwatching on the banks.
- Breakfast at camp.
- Experiential cultural activity: archery, traditional hunting techniques, and craft making.
- Farewell to the community and return by boat to Puerto Maldonado.
- Arrival in the city and transfer to your accommodation or airport.
