ITINERARY

🕘 Detailed Itinerary: Andean Gastronomic Tour (Half Day)

9:00 a.m. – Pickup from your accommodation in Cusco
We begin the tour with pickup from your centrally located hotel. A specialized gastronomic guide will accompany you throughout the experience.

9:30 a.m. – Visit to San Pedro Market
Our first destination is the traditional San Pedro Market. Here you will discover native ingredients such as quinoa, purple corn, native tubers, chili peppers, exotic fruits, and Andean herbs. The guide will explain the use of each product in traditional cuisine.

10:30 a.m. – Participatory Andean Cooking Class
We’ll head to a local kitchen where a Cusco chef will teach you how to prepare traditional dishes using ancestral techniques. You’ll learn how to cook a delicious pachamanca (a traditional pot), caramelized oca (a traditional goose stew), quinoa chili, or moraya soup, depending on the season.

11:30 a.m. – Tasting of Traditional Dishes and Drinks
After the preparation, you’ll enjoy a tasting lunch of the cooked dishes, accompanied by traditional drinks such as chicha de jora (a traditional coca tea), or macerated fruits. The experience is complemented by a brief explanation of the symbolic and ritual value of food in the Andean worldview.

12:30 p.m. – Return to the hotel
