After approximately two hours of travel, we arrive in Cusipata. Here you will enjoy an energetic Andean breakfast with local options to recharge your batteries before beginning the hike to Vinicunca.

3. Hike to Rainbow Mountain

From Cusipata, we will take a shuttle to the community of Chillihuani, the starting point of the trek. The hike is 7 km round trip, at over 4,600 meters above sea level, and takes approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes of moderate ascent. During the hike, you will be able to observe llamas, alpacas, and high Andean landscapes.

4. Arrival at Vinicunca – Rainbow Mountain Viewpoint

Upon reaching the main viewpoint, you will have enough time to enjoy the impressive panoramic views of Rainbow Mountain, known for its natural bands of red, green, yellow, and violet hues. Take the opportunity to take photos and experience a unique experience in the Andes.

5. Return to Cusipata and Lunch

We will descend leisurely to the parking lot and return to Cusipata for a well-deserved Andean buffet lunch, featuring typical dishes from the region.

6. Return to Cusco (4:00 PM – 5:00 PM)

After lunch, we begin the return trip to Cusco. We arrive between approximately 3:00 and 4:00 PM, concluding this unforgettable excursion to Rainbow Mountain.
