Our professional guide will pick you up from your accommodation in Puno to begin this cultural experience. Your tour will comfortably take you northwest of the city, on a journey of approximately 45 minutes.
🚌 Arrival at the Sillustani Archaeological Complex
Upon arrival at the site, we will begin a guided walk through the impressive funerary complex. We will admire the majestic chullpas, cylindrical stone structures built by the Kolla culture and later by the Incas. Some of these towers reach up to 12 meters in height and were used to bury nobles and priests along with their belongings.
The guide will explain the symbolism of these buildings, their advanced construction techniques, and their connection to the Andean worldview of life, death, and rebirth.
