Hotel Pick-Up in Puerto Maldonado
Early in the morning, your guide will pick you up from your hotel to start the adventure. We head toward the embarkation point on the Madre de Dios River.
Boat Ride to Tambopata National Reserve
We board a motorized canoe that will take us along the river, surrounded by the jungle as it awakens with the sounds of the morning.
Jungle Hike to Sandoval Lake
Upon entering the Tambopata National Reserve, we begin a hike of approximately 3 km (1 hour), enjoying the lush jungle and its rich biodiversity.
Observation at the Macaw Clay Lick
We arrive at a strategic viewpoint in front of the clay lick, a natural wall where hundreds of macaws and parakeets gather every morning to feed. You will see species such as the Blue-headed Parrot, Yellow-winged Parakeet, and possibly macaws—a spectacular display of color, sound, and life.
Canoe Ride on Sandoval Lake
